A Couple of Announcements for Girls Camp

If you have a Young Woman going to camp, she needs to be to the church Tuesday, July 10th, 6am, with bells on ;)  Young Women who are Youth Leaders need to be there at 5:30am.  Please don't be late or you will have to drive your daughter to camp.

We are also doing a service project at camp that requires scissors to cut fabric, if you are willing to loan some scissors (maybe not your best sewing scissors, but some that will cut fabric easily) to us give me (Sister Tollefson) a call or just bring them Sunday with your name on them.  It will be much appreciated,  Thank you!

July 2012 Relief Society Presidency Message

Dear Sisters,

What if we lived our lives in such a way that people were actually drawn to the Church? Imagine the effect we would have if we spoke freely to our nonmember friends about having family prayers and home evening, about our church activities, and about having eternal families. Think of the connections we would make with others if we mentioned blessings, gratitude and prayer in our everyday conversations. Not only would people have a clearer understanding of our beliefs, but many would be drawn to the Church as the truth of these principles resonated in their hearts. It’s a natural part of our lives; let’s try to make it a natural part of our conversation.

Love,

Sis. Kim Gibbs

The Sister Spotlight

This sister was born in Bremerton, but raised in Port Angeles Washington . She was the oldest of two children, with a foster sister as well. She went to college and worked in broadcasting with her family’s TV station before her mission (and after as well.) She found that she loves working in broadcasting in various roles. She served a full time mission in Paraguay. After being home for a time, she met her future husband at a YSA dance in Washington. She had known who he was growing up (even being in the same ward for a while), but they were never close. They have now been married 6 years. They then moved to Montana. She has three children and two step children (two boys and three girls). Her hobbies include photography, camping, riding motorbikes, swimming (outdoors activities) and spending time with her family. She loves exploring turn-of-the-century ghost towns too! This sister’s favorite place to serve in the church is in the Young Women’s organization, which is where she is currently serving in our ward. (Click on the comments below to find out who she is.)
