Sister Spotlight August 2012
This sister was born in Charlo, Mt. She has five brothers and four sisters. Her family moved to Logan, Utah when she was a toddler. They again when she was in the 4th grade to Montpelier, Idaho where she graduated from high school. she continued her education, attending Utah State her first year and BYU her second year. She then worked for a year before she got married. Her husband lived in a neighboring town and attended the same high school. He had one more year in the Marines when they got married. They have four boys and one girl and lived in Utah, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and Alaska while raising their family. She had various work opportunities such as a radio interviewer and thirteen years with the Forest Service. She has had many callings in the church, most of the time with the young women. Her talents are cooking, quilting, canning, and being an exceptional mom. Retired since 1994, her hobbies include reading, gardening, traveling, and studying plants and birds in her travels. A few of her best qualities are having lots of patience, compassion for others, and being a wonderful wife and mother. She has 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
