January 2013 Sister Spotlight
This sister has one brother and three sisters and was born in Anchorage, Alaska, but spent her early youth in Cody, Wyo. until eighth grade when her family moved to Hamilton. After graduating from Hamilton High School, she continued her education at BYU Provo where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history. She worked as a legal assistant for many years and also worked in the New York Life Insurance office in Missoula. She met her husband on a blind date, and after dating for four weeks, he proposed. Five months later, they were married, and she became an instant mother of three children, two girls and one boy. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and have been married now for 12 years. They have been blessed with two more children, one boy and one girl. She has had many church callings, including Primary chorister, ward choir director, in the Young Women, and is currently serving in Relief Society. She homeschools their two younger children, does the bookkeeping for their home and business, and does a fantastic job keeping the sunshine in their home. Musically talented, she sings and plays the cello. She also enjoys sports, playing tennis and basketball. Well-organized, she is a terrific planner and a hard worker. She likes to read, watch a good movie, and try new recipes. She is a rescuer with a kindness and softness about her that is non-threatening. Her husband is thankful that she is a great friend and understands him. He feels some of her best qualities are patience, understanding, love, and her wonderful nurturing of their children. She is an extraordinary individual, and we are glad to have her in our ward. (Click on the comments below to find out who she is.)
