Message from the Presidency ~ July 2011

When Christ met with the apostles after his resurrection, His instructions to them were to "...preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15), and to "Feed my sheep" (John 21:17).  Christ asked the apostles to continue the work he had started.

That admonition remains in place and reaches to you and I over 2,000 years later.  Christ has asked us to speak of him, to rejoice in him and to share our hope of exaltation through his resurrection.

As we do so with people we come in contact with, we'll be able to meet the challenge the bishop has given us to place a Book of Mormon in the hands of someone the Lord has prepared to receive the gospel.  Opportunities to talk about Christ are all around us, so be brave and speak up!

The Sister Spotlight ~ July 2011

Born and raised in Hamilton, this Montana girl married her high school sweetheart soon after graduating.  The newly weds lived in Missoula for the first year and a half of marriage where they also had their first child.  Her husband's employment would soon take the family to Las Vegas to live for the next 12 years where they were blessed with three more children (two boys and two girls in all). She was converted and baptized a member of our church while living in Nevada.  Because they had a bishop there that "just wouldn't leave us alone", her husband became active in the church as well.  Back to Montana they moved in 1973, to Stevensville and the home they reside in now.  This sister was a stay-at-home mom.  She has served in all the auxiliaries of the church.  Currently she serves in the Family History Center and really loves it!  She likes antique shopping and collects lamps.  She enjoys being home and working on family history.  She is a very sweet sister.  Loved by all who know her, her husband says he "just totally adores her."  They have been married for 51 years this year! Who is she?..... (Click on the comments to find out.)
