Relief Society Presidency Message September, 2012
Dear Sisters,
In the book, Daughters in My Kingdom, page 165, there is a quote by President Hinckley. He says, “May the Lord bless you, my beloved sisters . . . May you be strengthened for the challenges of the day. May you be endowed with wisdom beyond your own in dealing with the problems you constantly face. May your prayers and your pleadings be answered with blessings upon your heads and upon the heads of your loved ones. We leave with you our love and our blessing, that your lives may be filled with peace and gladness. It can be so.”
May you be encouraged and touched by this quote as I was. May you feel the love of your Heavenly Father for you always and His loving arms opened toward you. May you be encouraged to turn to Him in even the seemingly small problems you face each day by taking the time to pray, search the scriptures, and serve others. You will find peace, direction, wisdom beyond your own, and the gladness you seek. I know this to be true.
Love,
Heidi

Sister Spotlight September, 2012
This sister was born and raised in Billings, Mont. with three brothers. After high school, she spent a short time at the University of Montana. She met her husband in Billings at a young adult conference. After they married, they moved to Victor and then to Stevensville where they have been ever since. Married for 9 years, they have three children, two boys and one girl. They have lived in the Stevensville 2nd Ward for five years. She has had many callings in the church, including Primary, Young Women, Sunday School, Relief Society, and has even helped with ward activities. She especially enjoys teaching the teenagers. She was a dancer growing up, taught at a 24-hour fitness club in Billings, and currently teaches Zumba classes. She enjoys celebrating holidays and birthdays and does an exceptional job decorating their home for the holidays. Her other interests include camping, swimming, and spending time at the lake. She is also a good slalom skier. A very loving person, she enjoys doing things for other people and is a fantastic mother. She has a beautiful smile and brings sunshine wherever she goes. Who is she? Packages for our Military and Missionaries
Our Bishopric has asked that the members of the Stevensville 2nd ward prepare care packages for each military service member and missionary from our ward. These boxes will number about 14 and are to be sent in a fairly short amount of time so all assistance is welcome. Watch for more information and collection boxes or contact the Wight family at evewight@gmail.com or 544-9477. Each care package will be personalized as to the needs and positions of each individual. We have men and women, missionaries and members of the military, individuals who are in the states and those who are overseas. Contact a bishopric member to make a cash donation for postage or to purchase needed items. Other donations may include toiletries, small gifts, snacks, etc. Most importantly, please write supportive letters or cards to be included. If you have a missionary or service member from your family, please contact Eve Wight as soon as possible to confirm a mailing address and to make suggestions on customs restrictions and contents for each package.
